The Eversheds Legal Writing Competition 2014

Enhancing the career with winning words

For the second year in a row, Eversheds Austria held a Legal Writing Competition at Jus Success 2014, Austria’s biggest legal job fair at Juridicum Vienna. Eversheds Austria gives law students and young professionals the chance to gain first-hand practical experience in a global law firm by participating in a Legal Writing Competition. The winner of the Legal Writing Competition will join Eversheds Austria for a paid one-month internship in summer 2014.

Congratulations to the winner: Sonja-Diana Gavrilovici

Eversheds Austria is delighted to present Sonja-Diana Gavrilovici as the winner of the Legal Writing Competition 2014. The evaluation committee of Eversheds Austria found her submission to be the best entry in 2014. She demonstrated legal knowledge and commercial professionalism in her response. Sonja-Diana Gavrilovici will join Eversheds Austria for a one-month internship in September 2014.

Sonja has chosen the first case study regarding “Corporate and Trade Law”. .She had to prepare a memorandum answering the questions of a client concerning the “GmbH light” and Austrian Trade Law.

The Winner

Sonja-Diana Gavrilovici has been studying at the University of Vienna, School of Law since 2010. Besides that, she participated at a Summer school on ADR at Humboldt University Berlin and studied a semester abroad at Santa Clara University, School of Law, CA. On top of that, she has already gained professional experience during internships at a law firm and at the court of justice.

Georg Röhsner, Managing Partner of Eversheds Austria, thanks all applicants for participating in this year’s competition and congratulates the winner Sonja-Diana Gavrilovici: “Last year’s Legal Writing Competition has been a great success. Our team enjoyed working with last year’s winner who completed an excellent internship at our office. This was the reason why we decided to continue with this innovative way of offering talented law students an internship at a global law firm to gain practical experience. We are looking forward to have Sonja-Diana Gavrilovici join our team this summer and congratulate her on her success.”

Sonja-Diana Gavrilovici will join Eversheds Austria in July 2014.


The topic of the competition
The participants of the competition could select one of two case summaries and draft a response to the client. The best response will be chosen by its demonstration of legal knowledge, commercial professionalism and creativity of response.
