Practice notes

Michel Verde’s main areas of practice are employment law, torts, criminal law and litigation. He is main experience lies with national and international employment law disputes, claims for damages, contractual disputes and criminal proceedings. He also advises companies with regard to national and cross border employment and labor law matters, such as employment contracts, HR policies, work time regulations, data protection, dismissals, transfers of undertakings or conflict resolution.

He is also lecturer in private law at the University of Lucerne and author of several publications.

Michel Verde studied law at the University of Lucerne (Master of Laws 2008) and did a doctorate at the same University in the areas of torts and criminal law (Dr. iur. 2014, mention summa cum laude; Prof. Walther Hug Prize; Prix d’Excellence award of the Swiss society for tort law and insurance law). He was admitted to the bar in June 2015. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, he was a research assistant at the University of Lucerne in the areas of personal rights law and family law.

Michel Verde is member of the Zurich Bar Association and the Swiss Bar Association.
